How to make Nutter Butter Acorn Cookies

Gather all the ingredients listed and follow these quick directions to make the most adorable fall treat. With a sharp knife cut a Nutter Butter cookie in half. One Nutter Butter cookie will make 2 acorn cookies.

Break a thin pretzel stick into pieces. About 4 or 5 piece of pretzel stick that will be used for the acorn stem and set aside.

Chop almond bark and place in a microwave save bowl and heat for melted chocolate. There are a variety of options or substitutions you can use in place of Almond Bark. Mini Chocolate Chips, regular chocolate chips, Peanut Butter chips, Butterscotch Chips, or even wafer candy melts.

    White Almond Bark chopped

Whatever you choose melt in microwave for 30-second intervals and stir, add 15 more seconds and stir. If additional time is needed heat for 15 more seconds. Do not over heat and stirring is important to help keep the chocolate and even temperature and avoid burning.

    Melted White Chocolate

Dip the cut end of the Nutter Butter Cookies into melted chocolate and then dip into sprinkles in a separate bowl. This creates a nice cap for the acorn. Adding a pretzel piece for the acorn stem finishes off the easy acorn cookies. If needed use a small amount of melted chocolate and attach stem into place

    Dip Cookie edge in chocolate
    Dip Cookie in Sprinkles

Place cookies on a parchment lined baking sheet or use waxed paper or a silicone baking sheet to cool and harden at room temperature. Be careful not to hit the stem of the acorn while it cools so it stays in place.

Add pretzel piece for acorn stem
